After returning to Nashville from CBS' Survivor: San Juan del Sur, 21 year old Baylor Wilson released her debut EP on November 11th of last year. This Texas girl has stories to tell and does it well through her music which draws influence from her idols Sheryl Crow and Kacey Musgraves. From fun love songs like "Nothing At All" to the personal and honest lyrics of "Daddy's Girl", a song about growing up in a broken home, her songs really hit home. Her music is undeniably infectious and relatable. (I dare you to listen to "Nothing At All" without singing it in your head for the rest of the day.)
Baylor is currently a student at Belmont University where she is a songwriting major. On Saturday, February 21st, Baylor was the winner of Belmont's highly competitive Country Showcase. She has the stage presence of a star and the talent to back it up.
"I understand that when one door closes, another one opens," she says on her website, "All I have to do is find the next door that's waiting to be opened." There's no doubt she will!
