My Top 3 Performances From The CMT Awards

I had the huge honor of being a talent seat filler at last night's CMT Music Awards here in Nashville! In no particular order and in my humble opinion, these were my top performances of the night!

1. Lizzy Hale & Eric Church

Lizzy Hale, the front-woman of Halestorm, took to the stage with Eric Church to perform ”That’s Damn Rock N’ Roll” and let me tell you, that definitely was damn rock n roll. Woah. The entire arena was on their feet by the end of that performance. Between Lizzy’s killer stage presence and vocals and Eric’s naturally too-cool-for-school vibe, that performance was KILLER.

2. Jennifer Nettles, John Legend, & Hunter Hayes

“All Of Me” has been blowing up Top 40 radio all year but last night these three stars took the song to a whole new level. Hunter Hayes arranged a country version of the song and somewhere between the instrumentalists and Jennifer’s vocals, I had major chills. (I think all of America did too.) (P.S. Can we start a petition for them to release this version as a single?)

3. LeAnn Womack and Kacey Musgraves

In my opinion, LeAnn Womack is one of the most underrated artists in country music. She and Kacey Musgraves presented a tribute to Alan Jackson singing his song “Living On Love”. I absolutely LOVED their version of the song and I thought they absolutely did it justice. After their performance, Alan was presented the first ever Impact Award and you could just tell that he was beaming from the support and tribute performance he had just witnessed. Such a class act!

I thought the show was SO great. All of the performances were incredible and the energy in the room was crazy! Who were your favorites?
