Top 5 Places To Be At CMA Fest 2014

1) Riverfront Concerts

Right across the river from LP Field there will be a stage with more than 44 of the hottest up and coming acts all day every day from Thursday to Sunday. The best part? It’s TOTALLY FREE. That’s right. You can see acts like Charlie Worsham, Parmalee, Gloriana, Jason Michael Carroll, Kellie Pickler, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Eric Paslay, Dan + Shay, David Nail….Is that enough to convince you or shall I keep going? Because I can. There’s more. Whew. This is gonna be a hot lineup. (Literally, it’s always pretty hot so be sure to bring a water bottle and some sunscreen while you sit and enjoy the music!)

2) Fan Fair Hall X

From 10 am - 5 pm every day you will find some of your favorite artists signing autographs. That’s right, you can get up close and personal with some of the people you’ve been dying to meet. This year Fan Fair X will feature an artist to do an acoustic performance and Q&A and the lineup is ah-mazing. LeAnn Rimes, Sara Evans, Craig Morgan, and Lady Antebellum will be partaking in these festivities so be sure to check that out! Hundreds of artists will be signing autographs, and taking pictures so check the schedule below to see where and when to be to catch your favorites! (Be sure to get there early…Some people camp out all night to meet their idols and lines fill up fast!)

3) City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game

Catch your favorite country stars on the stage….I mean, softball field. Plot twist. Every year, City of Hope presents a softball game at Greer Stadium in which artists face off on either #TeamOpry or #TeamiHeart to raise money for their organization funding medical research and treatment. This year #TeamOpry will feature artists like Scotty McCreery, Jana Kramer, and Jamie Lynn Spears while #TeamiHeart will have Florida Georgia Line, Sara Evans, and Danielle Bradberry. This is a good place to catch the stars out of their element and having a little fun. You might even get to meet them on their way out after the game is over!

4) The Grand Ole Opry

If this is your first time in Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry is a must see. It’s a classic! During CMA Fest week, the Opry hosts star studded shows on Tuesday and Friday. This years lineup includes Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Nettles, Trace Adkins, and Josh Turner on Tuesday and Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Sara Evans, Ricky Skaggs, and more on Friday! The backstage tour is also available after the show if you want to get a sneak peak at what it looks like from a stars perspective and even take pictures on the famous circle on the stage. You probably won’t run into any artists back there, but hey, you’re on legendary ground! P.S. The Opry Originals store on Broadway will be having artist signings daily featuring Scotty McCreery, Love and Theft, Little Big Town, and more!

5) Nightly shows at LP Field

Okay, I know this one is obvious but let’s be real….Where else are you going to find 24 of the biggest acts in country music on one stage in the same week? If going to country concerts is one of your summer hobbies, this is something you don’t want to miss. This is a country concert at your local amphitheater on steroids. From Luke Bryan to Miranda Lambert to Keith Urban and Brad Paisley, they’re all gonna be there and you should too! One of my favorite concert memories ever is from the LP Field show when Dierks Bentley sang “Home” to the crowd of 70,000 people singing the words back to him with lights up in the air. I had chills. Great music, great atmosphere, great time. Oh and you can always walk right across the Shelby Street bridge and hit up the bars on Broadway for some after parties too. (I mean, I wouldn’t know because I’m not 21 yet, but from what I can see it’s a party. ;)
